Flower Pick Reminder

The boosters would like to remind everyone that there flower orders will be available for pick up tomorrow (May 7th) between 10am – 12pm. Please make sure to bring a vehicle big enough to put your flowers in. 

Also would like to remind anyone that volunteered to sort flower orders tomorrow morning, we will be starting at 6am. Please remember not to park in the first section as that is where we sort the flowers in to numbered parking spaces.

Memorial Day Parade Chaperones Needed

Hello,

We are in need of a few Chaperones for the Memorial Day Parade May 30th 2016. The exact call time at Ford will be announced later but the approximate duties/time commitment for chaperone is as follows:

Meet at Henry Ford II High School – 8:30am

Check the Students in on the bus

Ride the buses to the beginning of the parade with the Students

Walk with the students in the parade – may need to carry some water bottles

Check the students back onto the busses

Ride on the busses back to Ford – Noon ish

Done

We do need several Chaperones for this event and its typically a lot of fun with the Students  If you can participate, please email Tony Landini at anthonylandini100@gmail.com  This is a great way to get involved for incoming parents as well as the veterans.

What is Color Guard

The color guard is the flag section of the Henry Ford II Marching Band. The guard combines dance and flag spinning for visual effect on the field.

April Membership Meeting & March Newsletter

  • Next Band Booster Meeting is Monday, April 11th 7PM.
  • April Agenda – General Membership Meeting
  • April is Elections Month! We will be electing a new V.P., Ways and Means, and Recording Secretary. Please volunteer for one of these positions if you want to be more involved in the Band and Band Boosters. This meeting will be a little longer because of the elections.
  • The March Newsletter is now available.  Catch up on the latest information from the last band booster meeting!
  • Scrips / Gift Card orders are due at Monday’s meeting.  This is one of our easiest fundraisers.  You can earn money for your student’s account just by purchasing gift cards for stores where you already purchase items.  Sam’s Club, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Wendy’s, Subway, Meijers, Mobil, etc. If you have any questions please contact Denise Henigan at 586-243-1658 or email henigand@gmail.com .

Kroger Rewards Program Reminder

Please remember to sign up for the Kroger Rewards program. You have to renew online every April to stay in the program.

Kroger distributes funds quarterly to non-profit organizations registered to their Kroger Community Rewards program. Simply register online and shop using your “Kroger Card” and a share of the community rewards funds will go to Henry Ford II Instrumental Music Boosters.

Each quarter provide your online statement from Kroger to Susanne Koury at hf2.kroger@gmail.com and your student’s account will be credited.

Road Rally Reminder

A Road Rally is basically a large-scale scavenger hunt. You gather a team of up to six amazing people. With your team, you will drive around following a set of instructions and find the answers to a set of clues and questions that we provide for you. Throughout the route, you will be required to complete other tasks as well. At the end we will all meetup, share stories, have a drink and order some food. The team that completes the most tasks and receives the most points in the least amount of time will also win some cash!  You can expect to have a blast.

  • Road Rally- April 16, 2016
  • Starts promptly @ 6:30 PM
  • Costs: $15 per person
  • Deadline to sign up 4/08/2016

31st Annual Spring Flower Sale – Mother’s Day Weekend 2016 – orders due Monday April 11th Reminder

The absolute last day to turn in orders is the April Booster Meeting (April 11, 2016).Orders may be turned into box marked “flower sale” in the band room if you can’t make the April meeting.

Boosters accept orders for flowers during March, turn in their orders in April  and pick up is the Saturday before Mothers Day. The 2016 delivery date is May 7, 2016. Materials related to the sale are below.  Be sure to mark the top of one order form as your MASTER copy.
