This is it, folks. This night is the culmination of 3 months of intense rehearsals and a lot of hard work. Keep that in mind when you step out onto the field. We all need to work together as a team, and perform to the best of our ability. You know what it takes to do your best, and now is not the time to hold back. When you step off the field at the end of the performance, you should be overwhelmed with a sense of pride. The fact that you wowed both the audience and the judges, and you did the best you could possibly do is a great feeling and one that you will remember for the rest of your life.

Tonight’s show is in your hands! Make it count! – Mr. Schoenherr

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember how the stars stole the night away

Color Guard Information

Hello, everyone!
I just wanted to send out an e-mail with some information as the season is beginning to wrap up.
This week on Wednesday, September 30th, the students will have a practice during 2nd and 3rd hour on the track. They will practice with Bemis Jr. High’s 8th grade band.
On Friday, October 2nd, the students will need to wear their band t-shirt and need to report to the band room at 9:00am and then they will take buses over to Bemis to march through the halls. They will then return to HF2. At 12:15pm the students will meet in the band room and march through the halls of HF2. They will then proceed to the gym for the pep assembly. There will be a parade on Friday as well which the students will need to wear their full uniform for. They will step off from the back catwalk at 3:55pm. Pizza and drinks will be provided for them in the commons after the parade. The students will depart for SHS at 5:45pm and will do a run-through of the show on SHS’s practice field if possible, since they will not have a practice beforehand, and then they will do the usual pre-game routine.
UCS Band-A-Rama is on Sunday, October 4th. The students will need to report to the back field at Ford at 4:45pm for a final run-through. Please make sure your student eats beforehand! We will leave for Stevenson High School at 5:30pm in full uniform. Students will need to leave any belongings on the bus as there will be nowhere else to put bags, purses, etc. There’s a mass band rehearsal for the Star Spangled Banner at 6:30. The band will cadence over to the field at 6:45pm. They will play the Star Spangled Banner at 7:00pm. Each band will then perform. The order of the bands for Sunday is Utica, Henry Ford II, Eisenhower, and then Stevenson. We will load up the trailer after Stevenson’s performance and then will head back to HF2 at approximately 8:30pm.
The timelines for Homecoming and UCS Band-A-Rama are in the link below:
MSBOA will be on Wednesday, October 14th. The full band rehearsal on Monday, October 12th and the color guard sectional on Tuesday, October 13th are both MANDATORY. Please schedule accordingly and let me or Mr. Schoenherr know if you have any concerns.

Chaperons Needed

We need at least 3 chaperons for Oct 2nd from 9:00 am to approximately 10:15 am to head over to Bemis for Homecoming “shenanigans” as Matt puts it?
We also need 4 more for the game that night and probably 6 for going to Band A Rama on the 4th at Utica.
