Golden Canyon Candle 2016 Order Form

Golden Canyon Candle fundraiser featuring 15 available fragrances.The candles are $21.20. Shipping is already included in the price and each candle comes with their own gift box.$8 of that goes to the band and then we get the 85/15 split!

Orders will be due on October 3rd (they can be turned in to the band room) and will be delivered at the November Booster Meeting.

Chaperones for Home Coming Parade and Football Game

We are in need of some chaperones for the Homecoming parade and Football game. If you can volunteer for any of the following, please contact anthonylandini100@gmail.com
Parade – need a few chaperones to walk with the band for the parade. Will carry water bottles in case the students would like a drink of water on the route Need to be there approx. 3:35pm at Ford Band room as stepoff is shortly after that.
Pizza Dinner – need a few chaperones to set up and hand out the pizza and pop the boosters are providing to the students for dinner. Need to be in the Ford Cafeteria around 4:15 ish to set up – students should be back in the Cafeteria around 4:45.
Football Game – need 8 chaperones to get the students to/from the Game – we will have 4 buses due to the Bemis students. Will need to be at Ford by 5:45 to help board the students.
This is a great opportunity to get involved and enjoy the festivities. If you can help out with one or more of these please let Tony Landini know which one (s) you are able to do.

Spirit Stix

Joy would like to let everyone know that we’ll be making Spirit Stix on Monday from 7- 9ish at my home 15380 Haverhill, Macomb. Still need donations of melting chocolate (milk and white), and cellophane bags. Will need small crock pots and large cookie sheets. Bring ’em if you have ’em.

Sept. Booster Meeting, Fall Mums, Spirit Sticks, Scripts, Spirit Wear, & Kroger Rewards

  • Next Band Booster Meeting is Monday, September 12th 7PM.
  • Reminder that the Fall Mum’s orders are do at the meeting or emailed to Ann Smith before the meeting Monday Night . email – timandann@wowway.com
  • Spirit Sticks Donations are need for this years spirit sticks. White, milk melting chocolates,  Utz Country Store Pretzel Stix Barrel (55 oz.) from Sam’s Club, plastic bags, and zip ties.
  • Kroger Statements from quarter ending 7/31 are due Monday Sept 12th. Please turn them in to Laura at the meeting or email her. Email – hf2.kroger@gmail.com
  • Scrips / Gift Card orders are due at Monday’s meeting.  This is one of our easiest fundraisers.  You can earn money for your student’s account just by purchasing gift cards for stores where you already purchase items.  Sam’s Club, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Wendy’s, Subway, Meijers, Mobil, etc. If you have any questions please contact Anita Landini at 586-604-1254 or email drummermomlandini@gmail.com.

Cancelled: Trailer Re-Organization – Saturday 9/10/2016

Good Morning,
With the upcoming Sunday performance and the possibility of rain in the forecast, I feel it best to cancel the scheduled trailer reorganization that was scheduled for tomorrow.
With 1 football game under our belt, I think that the trailer was packed up pretty good by us after moving some instrument around. I would still like to see some of the “loose” items put away somewhere else, but all-in-all pretty pleased.
The only outstanding item is the podium and those wonderful wheels. I would still like to have everyone who is interested in helping out get together, so I would like to maybe toss out next weekend. Unfortunetly, I cannot meet on Saturday, but Friday orSunday will work for me.
How does either of those times work for everyone? Friday 9/16/2016 around 6:30pm? or Sunday 9/18/2016 around 1:00 (or earlier)?
I will also bring this up again on Monday Membership meeting.

 11:30             Call time at HFII- SUMMER UNIFORM! NO EXCEPTIONS!

11:45             Depart for Jimmy Johns Field

 12:00             Arrive at Jimmy Johns, unload trailer, proceed to designated area for performance.

12:30             Start playing: We are playing background music for the spectators as they enter the ball park.

 1:10                Finish playing, store instruments (designated area-TBD) short break, water provided

1:40                We will be bringing the GIANT flag out on to the field for the singing of the National Anthem. After that we will pack up the trailer, head back into the ballpark, and enjoy some of the game….. (we can’t stay the entire game- buses on a Sunday are VERY expensive)

 2:00                Game Starts- additional food/drinks available for purchase

 3:45-ISH        return to HFII

 4:00                Back to HFII

 If you are planning on staying the entire game, or if you plan on leaving early, a NOTE from home to your bus chaperon. You will need to make arrangements with your parents as to where to meet them.

Good Afternoon

I received a call from the USPBL (baseball league out of Jimmy Johns field in Utica) wanting us to perform this coming Sunday prior to the championship game. The only details i have right now is we play for about an hour prior to the game, then bring the flag on to the field. They would give the band (and chaperons) lawn tickets for the game, I believe discounted tickets for parent spectators.

What I need to know from the kids (i only saw 1/3 of them after I got the call) is whether they are available or not this Sunday 9/11, call time about 10:45, return about 4:00. I’d like to know this by tomorrow PM for our rehearsal. I will send texts out to the field command, etc. so I can get an idea of participation possibility before I commit to this…..

Once we commit, I will have much more detailed information.

Spirit Wear and Sectional Jacket and Hat

Spirit wear includes various style sweaters, sweats, t-shirts and pant with the Marching Falcons name and  logo. You can still order sectional jackets and hats. You must contact Mary Medley to make orders and set up arrangements for payment.

This order will be due by September 12th or at the September meeting…no exceptions.

Monday, Sept. 5, 2016

 Please make sure that you have a good breakfast before coming to school. Water/soda will be provided, and you can bring a snack if you would like.

11:15        Arrive at Ford in summer uniforms

WHITE SHORTS/FALCON SOCKS/WHITE SHOES MANDATORY

11:30         Leave for Romeo

12:00         Arrive in Romeo and report to assigned area

Await further instruction. You know the routine; hurry up and wait.

1:30           Parade Begins

1:30- 3:00         Step off – we have not been assigned an event number, so I will not know where we are in the parade line-up until the day of the parade!

4:15           Arrive back at Ford (approximately)

If parents are at the parade and plan on picking up students at Ford, please leave right after we pass you.  Don’t wait until the parade ends to start home.  There will be an adult present at school for one half-hour after the busses have dropped us off! Also, please try to park in an area that will give you easier access to leave Romeo- south of the parade route is recommended.

If you are taking your child home directly from the parade, please send in a note to be given to the bus chaperone, and pick them up at the location on the map on the reverse side.

The Parade starts at Main Street & Gates, and proceeds south. The dispersal/pick-up area is at Croswell Elementary on  Dunham Road; you will see a sign posted Parade Participant Parking

Reminder Scipt and Vince & Joe Due Sept 12th

A friendly reminder that script and Vince & Joe orders will be due on September 12th. You can also turn them in to Anita at the September 12th booster meeting. All orders and checks must be submitted by this day. My address is 14962 Rotunda Sterling Heights.
