The Band Booster would like to remind everyone that the senior farewell picnic is tomorrow (Tuesday May 24th) 2:30 at Farmstead Park. All band students are welcomed. Food and drinks will be provided. The park is located just east of HFII on Clinton River (within walking distance). If anyone has Volleyballs, basketballs, Frisbees, or any other outdoor games, please bring them to share.

Monday, May 30th, 2016
Please make sure that you have a good breakfast before coming to school.
TIMELINE
7:45 Arrive at Ford in summer uniform (Sounds Like Summer T-Shirt, WHITE shorts, shoes, etc) Once again, anyone in shorts deemed unacceptable (too short, beige, etc) will be sent home.

8:00 Leave for Dodge Park
8:15 Arrive at Dodge Park, unload, proceed to staging area,
then WAIT!
8:45 Memorial Day Ceremony- Silence!
10:00 Parade starts- we won’t know where we are in the parade line-up until we arrive
11:30-ish End of Parade route, pack up and return home
12:00 Arrive back at Ford (approximately)
If parents are at the parade and plan on picking up students at Ford, please leave right after we pass you. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE PARADE ENDS TO START HOME.
Parade Route: Dodge Park Road, between Utica Road and 17Mile Road, ends at Davis Junior High
If you are taking your child home directly from the parade, please send in a note to be given to the bus chaperone. Our dispersal area is at Davis Jr. High.
* IF the weather is anticipated to be cooler (in Michigan, one never knows), I will get the word out for modifications to the summer uniform. Past modifications have included blue jeans, long sleeve t’s etc.)
Kroger Rewards
Please bring your 4th quarter (Feb 1st – Apr 30th) Kroger Rewards statement to the Membership Meeting June 6th to turn in. If you can’t make the meeting, please email the statement to Laura Schneider by Monday June 6th.

Cedar Point Reminder
The band would like to remind anyone interested in going to Cedar Point June 20th, the final payment is due May 27th. Seniors are free, but have to turn a check in. If they show up to cedar point, they will get there check back that night. The amount is $80.

Flower Pick Reminder
The boosters would like to remind everyone that there flower orders will be available for pick up tomorrow (May 7th) between 10am – 12pm. Please make sure to bring a vehicle big enough to put your flowers in.
Also would like to remind anyone that volunteered to sort flower orders tomorrow morning, we will be starting at 6am. Please remember not to park in the first section as that is where we sort the flowers in to numbered parking spaces.

Memorial Day Parade Chaperones Needed

We are in need of a few Chaperones for the Memorial Day Parade May 30th 2016. The exact call time at Ford will be announced later but the approximate duties/time commitment for chaperone is as follows:
Meet at Henry Ford II High School – 8:30am
Check the Students in on the bus
Ride the buses to the beginning of the parade with the Students
Walk with the students in the parade – may need to carry some water bottles
Check the students back onto the busses
Ride on the busses back to Ford – Noon ish
Done
We do need several Chaperones for this event and its typically a lot of fun with the Students If you can participate, please email Tony Landini at anthonylandini100@gmail.com This is a great way to get involved for incoming parents as well as the veterans.

What is Color Guard
The color guard is the flag section of the Henry Ford II Marching Band. The guard combines dance and flag spinning for visual effect on the field.

Band Banquet Reminder
Please remember that Monday (May 2nd) is the last day to purchase tickets for the banquet. Please return the form at the booster meeting or mail with a self addressed stamped envelope to receive your tickets. The Banquet is Monday (May 16th).
