FORMS!!! NOTICE for Away Band Camp

All,

We are still missing Away Band Camp forms! Please get these in asap!. They have to be sorted and in binders before we leave on Sunday. These are required! Your students will not get their summer uniform if these are not turned in! Please help us make sure we have time to review these forms by getting these in tomorrow Wednesday July 25th!

HF2 IMB Board Update!

Hello Everyone,

We wanted to inform the membership of some recent changes in the HF2IMB Band Booster Board of Directors.  We are sorry to say that Brian Buck needed to resign the President position as he will not have a child in the Band Program this coming season.  Brian was a great President for our Organization and both Brian and Maureen did a tremendous amount of work for the band and will be sorely missed.

The by-laws are clear in terms of process when there is a vacancy in one of the board positions.  As it states in:

4.14.5 –  Vacancies of the officers of the Corporation shall be filled by a majority vote of all Board of Directors and each person so elected shall be an officer until their successor is elected by the membership at the next annual members meeting in which the office is to be elected.

The board met on Monday, July 16th and unanimously elected Lorene Laurence the new President for the remainder of its term effective immediately.  Please join us in welcoming Lorene to that role and giving her your full support.

Camp Packet – Paperwork!!

All,

Completed band camp paperwork is due no later than Tuesday, July 24! You should have received the packet via the email that was sent out with the link or through your students. 

You can turn in your paperwork anytime before the 24th either directly to Mr. Schoenherr or to the designated collection box in the band room.

It is very important that you are on time with this paper work. It takes several volunteers many hours to do everything necessary with everyone’s paperwork to be ready for band camp at CMU.

Reminder from the Treasurer:

Student Account Guidelines:
 
You cannot use any funds that you have earned while fundraising until they are posted to your student’s account.    Funds are posted as they are received, there is always a delay in receiving  the funds from the fundraiser source.    Money cannot be posted to the account until it is received from the fund raising source  (I cannot post money I don’t have).   Please do not submit any forms for student account deductions until you have confirmed the funds are there.   Any future requests for using money from Student Accounts that is not there, could result in denial of the payment.
Funds in Student Accounts are ONLY to be used for band related items for the STUDENT.
Please be sure that a form is submitted will all payments, regardless of the fundraiser,  band camp, summer uniforms,  etc.   Please be sure it is complete and accurate.
Please follow the above rules.   This is a very busy time of year for me as Treasurer,  not following the above guidelines has resulted in several hours of tracking down payments and emails, all of which should be unnecessary.
