  • 2017 NYC Band Trip Deposits – A $100 deposit is due January 2nd for students. Adults wishing to go can pay a deposit after January 9th.
  • Spirit Wear – Contact Mary Medley to make arrangements to pick up your Spirit Wear.  Mary Medley email – bmjslmedley@yahoo.com
  • Crafter’s Clearance – The crafter’s clearance show this school year is February 10th & 11th. Please make sure your child and/or family members put in a combined time of 6 hour work to get a share put in to your students account. Also please share and like the Facebook page with friends and family to help get the word out for the years event.
  • Script / Gift Card orders are due at Monday’s meeting.  This is one of our easiest fundraisers.  You can earn money for your student’s account just by purchasing gift cards for stores where you already purchase items.  Sam’s Club, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Wendy’s, Subway, Meijer, Mobil, etc. If you have any questions please contact Anita Landini at 586-604-1254 or email drummermomlandini@gmail.com.
  • Hungry Howie The boosters are selling Hungry Howie Gift Cards for 10 dollars. The money will help the boosters pay for snacks at football games, parades, and other events the band participate in throughout the year.
  • National Coney Island – There will be a restaurant night in January and February. More details to come.
  • Polar Pizza Party – We had another great year at the Polar Pizza Party. The students did an excellent job decorating and interacting with the visitors. The Booster would like to thank all the adult volunteers that help make it a great year. Special thanks go out to Christy Luceus and Jane Asher for organizing the event.

NY Trip Chaperone Form

Chaperone form for New York. I have also updated the website area under “FORM” to get a copy. Chaperones won’t be picked until sometime next year. If you still want to go to New York as an adult, you will need to still turn a deposit in to Brenda to hold a spot for you. I you get picked as a chaperone, the deposit money can be used towards payment of your child’s trip.Please contact Mr Schoenherr if you have any questions.

Cheesecake Pickup

Poker Nights Canceled

Dear Lenny & Dave,
I wish it was under better circumstance that I would come to you with better news. Our poker room Bora Bora’s Charity Poker Room has not been doing as well as we have hoped and expected since our grand opening.  In despite of all our efforts to get the room up and going, we have had a hard time getting players in from within our network.  Everyone has had amazing things to say about the room location, atmosphere and space but yet still cannot get players to commit and come in and play on daily bases. 
The owner of Bora Bora Bar & Grill has just informed us last night that they no longer want to host charity poker at their location and they have informed us that this Wednesday will be our last day at their location.
I am Sadden to have to inform you that we will be closing down our poker room as of this week.  Please contact the Michigan Gaming Control Board at (313) 456-4100or (313) 456-2004 and inform them of the situation.
If we identify a new location that would be interested in hosting Charity Poker in the future, I will certainly communication the information to you should you choose to host with us again. 
Once again, I am terribly sorry for how this has turned out as my #1 concern when I decided to do this was to work within our community and help the None-Profit Organizations raise money for their cause.  I will keep trying to do my best.

Polar Pizza Party

Cookie and food donations are still needed for the Polar Pizza Party. We are in need of lots of cookies for the cake decorating station as well as for the cookie walk (plain undecorated). No nuts please. Other food items needed are boxes of the large size candy canes, powdered lemonade mix, sprinkles, bags of mini carrots. We are also looking for rectangle plastic table clothes – prefer red, white and green but any color will do. Non perishable items can be left in the band room at any time. Perishable items would be needed by 3:30 on Friday December 2nd. If you can donate any of these items, please email me at christyluceus@hotmail.com.

Kroger Rewards

New and current band parents – add HFII Instrumental Music Boosters (83108) to your Kroger Community Rewards and earn credit towards your student’s account.  85% of your Community Rewards goes into your band student’s account which can be used for band camp, lessons, etc.

Please bring your 2nd quarter (August 1st – October 31st) Kroger Rewards statement to the Membership Meeting December 5th to turn in. If you can’t make the meeting, please email the statement to Laura Schneider by Monday,December19th.

Extra Script Card Order

We will be placing an extra scrip order for xmas so that we have 2 more before the holiday break. The extra scrip order for xmas will be due on Monday November 28. All money and orders need to be to me by that date. I will process them immediately and try to get them delivered for the December booster meeting on the following monday.

The normal December scrip order will still be due on Monday December 5 at the booster meeting and should be available the following week. However, the closer we get the xmas holiday, the longer processing takes due to increased volume.
