Another HUGE THANK YOU for your tremendous show of support at the UCS Band-A-Rama last night. Much like at a sporting event, we played off of YOUR enthusiasm, and it definitely enhanced our performance.
Only 9 days til MSBOA!!!!! A couple reminders on that- we perform at 7:45, but there are 8 other bands performing that evening, so get there early to get a good seat! get your tickets tonight at the booster meeting, or through me during the school day. $3/adult, $2/student/senior. Any proceeds from tickets purchased at the gate will go to MSBOA, not back to us.
A timeline for next Wednesday 10/12 will be posted shortly.
So again, THANK YOU for all of your support, but, just like I ask the kids, I always want MORE! So next Wednesday, when the mood strikes you, GET UP AND DANCE!!!!
Go Band!!!!!!!
Mr. Schoenherr
On behalf of the students of the Falcon Marching Band, a huge THANK YOU to the “BBQ Crew” for the awesome lunch you put together for us today. As always, your support means the world to us. We’re ready to rock the house tomorrow night!
Go Band!!
Mr. Schoenherr
Band parents, friends, supportersMaking the right decision on an evening such as this is NEVER an easy task, but a task that I take very seriously. There is no one decision that everyone will agree with. On one hand, for the kids sake, we needed this performance to be better prepared for Sunday’s Band-A-Rama; on the other hand the conditions are impossible to judge accurately (if forecasters were teachers, they would NOT be Highly effective!!)
It was in the best interest of the students to bring them to SHS for the game.
It was also in the best interest of the students to leave early, unfortunately without performing.
Thank you to everyone for your understanding, especially to those of you in the stands, awaiting a kick-a$$ show.
See everyone Sunday night, we’ll save the kick-a$$ show for then. When we take the field, I hope to see you all GET UP AND DANCE!!!
GO BAND!!!
Matt Schoenherr
Director of Bands & Orchestra
Henry Ford II High School
From Mr Schoenherr,
Regarding tonight performance:
I am monitoring the weather very closely. IF we get a performance in, roughly 8:00. We will do so, and leave following the performance. We will be wearing raincoats for pregame. I have already arranged to have the auxiliary gym open for us at SHS. Please send inquiries directly to my email
Matthew.schoenherr@utica12.org
I will update when I can.
GO BAND!!!
The boosters will have MSBOA tickets available for purchase this weekend at the football game, and USC Band-A-Rama and Monday’s meeting.
The cost is $3 per adult, $2 per senior, and $2 per student
Whatever we sell ahead of time, our Booster organization gets to keep. Anyone who purchases tickets the night of the competition has their money go to MSBOA.
Anyone who misses the meeting can still buy tickets via Mr. Schoenherr up to the day of the competition.
Exact change is appreciated.
THANKS!
Brenda
