Winter Uniform Turn In

This is a reminder that if you haven’t turned in your Winter Uniform, they are due tomorrow (June 1st). Please turn in after your pictures. Make sure everything is turned in. Please hang the bag with everything in it in the back room.

Turn In: Bag, yellow hanger, pants, cape, jacket and if you have one, hat and plum.

Saturday June 11, 2016

Concert Band & Choir

2:00   Arrive at HFII, load truck, get into concert/choir attire

2:15    Depart for The Palace

(UCS bus transportation to and from)

3:00ish   Arrive at The Palace; Band- set up concert formation, choir set up seating area

3:54    Novena (Band)

4:00   Ceremony starts, Pomp & Circumstance (Band), followed by National Anthem (Choir)

5:45 (Approx.)      Conclusion of ceremony, Coast Guards (Band), then pack up, head back to HFII

6:30   Back at Ford

IF YOU ARE NOT RETURNING TO HFII WITH THE BAND/CHOIR, YOU MUST HAVE A NOTE FROM YOUR PARENTS/GUARDIAN STATING WHOM YOU ARE GOING HOME WITH. YOU WILL GIVE THAT NOT TO THE BUS CHAPERON AS YOU GET ON THE BUS

FALCON MARCHING BAND COMPOSITE PICTURES

WEDNESDAY JUNE 1, 2016 – 7:30-12:00

Tomorrow, Wednesday June 1, Prestige Photography will be at HFII to photograph all members of the Falcon Marching band for our wall composite. Photo packages are available for purchase, including a copy of the wall composite. Packages can be paid for tomorrow at the sitting, or turned in to Mr. Schoenherr by Tuesday, June 7. Price list attached. There is NO obligation to purchase any package.

Pictures will be in full uniform (WITH gloves, WITHOUT hat) and instrument/mallets/flag.

If your uniform is at school already, GREAT. If it is not, this is the perfect time to bring it in, as we will be collecting all uniforms at this time. For those students who are not on campus (UAIS) or if you are absent and cannot make it to HFII during this time, you will be able to contact Prestige Photography to set up a sitting at their Shelby Twp. Location.  Students not in my classes in the AM should see me for a pass.

Pictures will be sent to HFII- for underclassmen, I will distribute the pictures during sectionals throughout the summer. Seniors- I will contact you when they have arrived to make arrangements for either pick-up or delivery.

Cedar Point Chaperone’s

We need to 2 chaperone’s for the Cedar Point trip. You will need to be at Henry Ford II June 20th at 7-7:15am and return around midnight. If you would like to volunteer and get a free to trip Cedar Point, please contact Debbie Zielinski!

Senior Farewell Picninc

Senior Farewell Picnic

The Band Booster would like to remind everyone that the senior farewell picnic is tomorrow (Tuesday May 24th) 2:30 at Farmstead Park. All band students are welcomed. Food and drinks will be provided. The park is located just east of HFII on Clinton River (within walking distance). If anyone has Volleyballs, basketballs, Frisbees, or any other outdoor games, please bring them to share.

Monday, May 30th, 2016

Please make sure that you have a good breakfast before coming to school.

TIMELINE

 7:45          Arrive at Ford in summer uniform (Sounds Like Summer T-Shirt, WHITE shorts, shoes, etc) Once again, anyone in shorts deemed unacceptable (too short, beige, etc) will be sent home.

                 *See below for cooler weather issues

8:00           Leave for Dodge Park

8:15           Arrive at Dodge Park, unload, proceed to staging area,

then WAIT!

 8:45           Memorial Day Ceremony- Silence!

 10:00        Parade starts- we won’t know where we are in the parade line-up until we arrive

 11:30-ish  End of Parade route, pack up and return home

12:00         Arrive back at Ford (approximately)

If parents are at the parade and plan on picking up students at Ford, please leave right after we pass you.  DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE PARADE ENDS TO START HOME. 

Parade Route: Dodge Park Road, between Utica Road and 17Mile Road, ends at Davis Junior High

If you are taking your child home directly from the parade, please send in a note to be given to the bus chaperone. Our dispersal area is at Davis Jr. High.  

* IF the weather is anticipated to be cooler (in Michigan, one never knows), I will get the word out for modifications to the summer uniform. Past modifications have included blue jeans, long sleeve t’s etc.)

Please bring your 4th quarter (Feb 1st – Apr 30th) Kroger Rewards statement to the Membership Meeting June 6th to turn in. If you can’t make the meeting, please email the statement to Laura Schneider by Monday June 6th.
