New York Informational Meeting Flyer

Greetings to New York City-bound students (and their parents)!

 As we quickly approach the departure date for our New York City trip, the chaperones, Instrumental Music Boosters board members, and director are busily putting the final touches on the trip details. In order to ensure that you have all the necessary information on this wonderful learning experience, there will be a mandatory meeting for all trip participants and at least one parent/guardian on Monday, May 8th, at 7:00 PM in the Henry Ford II PAC. It is imperative that you are in attendance at this meeting, as we will be signing necessary documents, discussing the itinerary and going over in great detail the student expectations.

For the students who take any form of prescription medication, please stop by the Band Room to pick up a form. Please take the time to fill those out and return with you on the 8th.

(If all information from Band Camp has not changed,

A new form will not be necessary.)

Please bring the following things to this meeting:

  • Pen (for signing documents)
  • Prescription Self-Medication form (if needed)
  • Any questions you might have regarding the trip.

In addition, there will be music rehearsals for all student participants:

Monday May 1              6:00-8:00

Monday May 8              6:00-7:00, meeting at 7:00

Monday May 15            2:30-4:00

Monday May 22            2:30-4:00

These rehearsals are MANDATORY FOR ALL TRIP PARTICIPANTS!

Banquet Ticket Order Form

Band Banquet Tickets are available for purchase until Monday, May 1st.Please return the form at the May booster meetings or by mail with a self-addressed stamped envelope to receive your tickets. The Banquet is Monday, May 15th, doors open at 6pm. The cost per ticket is $22 for adults and children. The banquet is open to all band student, not just seniors. Invite family and friends to attend the banquet and congratulate their student for an awesome 2016-17 year. Student tickets can be purchased from there student account, but only the students, no one else’s.

  • 2017 NYC Band Trip Final Payment – Final payment was due April 1st. Please make sure to pay Brenda Bullock at the April booster meeting if you have not made your final payment.
  • Band Banquet Tickets – Tickets will be available for purchase at the April and May Booster meetings. The banquet is for all band students and family, not just Senior’s. Tickets are $22/person.
  • Senior Bio’s – Please have your student submit a bio, senior picture and a baby picture for this years band banquet booklet by April 17th. Print name clearly on reverse side of photos and they will be returned. Submissions can be given to Mr. Schoenherr but are preferred as an emailed jpg to Lenny Luceus lluceus@icloud.com.Senior Bio Form
  • Buffalo Wild Wings  – The restaurant night is April 12th. There will flyer at the restaurant to give your server for the Boosters to get credit. The Buffalo Wild Wings is located at Mound road and M-59 located on the south west corner plaza with Walmart.
  • Spring Flower Sale – The booster is having there annual Spring Flower Sale. The forms are due by or at the April 10th booster meeting. Delivery and pick up will be May 13th. Delivery will be at 6am and volunteers are needed to seperate the orders and pick up will start at 10am.

  • Script / Gift Card orders – Due at Monday’s meeting.  This is one of our easiest fundraisers.  You can earn money for your student’s account just by purchasing gift cards for stores where you already purchase items.  Sam’s Club, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Wendy’s, Subway, Meijer, Mobil, etc. If you have any questions please contact Anita Landini at 586-604-1254 or email drummermomlandini@gmail.com.

LAST REMINDER FOR BOWLING TICKETS!!

Our next band parent meeting is Monday, April 10th and the last day to turn in your bowling fundraiser ticket order.  You’re welcome to drop off your ticket order anytime at Chris’ house (21 and Schoenherr area) between now and the meeting to guarantee your tickets.  We have 130/180 sold and last year so sold out so don’t wait until the last minute.  Remember no tickets will be sold at the door!   

*** Remember to bring extra money so you don’t miss out on the over 30 raffle baskets, 2 special raffle baskets valued at $150 and $100 with a limited number of tickets sold, strike ball, men/women’s high game and 50/50 raffle.

Flower Delivery Date: May 13, 2017 10:00am -12:00pm

Order Due Date: April 10, 2017

Flower Sale Instructions

1. Make copies of white individual order sheet to distribute to friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, anyone who buys flowers, etc.

2. Ask everyone to make their checks out to you.

3. Combine all the individual orders on to the Yellow Master Order Form.  If you downloaded the Order Form from the HF2imb.org website, write “MASTER” in large letters at the top of your Master order form.

4. Double Check your Master Order Form

5. Total all the orders and write one check to HF2 IMB.

6. Turn in Master Order Form with payment in full no later than April 10, 2017 at the Instrumental Music Booster meeting.

  • If an individual customer wants to pick up their order themselves, include a copy of their order along with your Master Order Form. Mark the Master Order Form “Yes” for “Will Orders be picked up individually?” Their count is still included on the Master Order Form.
  • Place Master Order Form, Payment and Individual Orders that need to be sorted for pick up, into the envelope with the students name on the outside of the envelope.
  • Students can put orders in the box in the band room.
  • Insufficient funds and or non-payment will be deducted from the student’s band account.

7. Volunteer to help sort flowers and eat donuts 6 am –10 am on May 13th
